How can the mobility transition succeed in a fair way and with low resource use?
The Austrian circular economy strategy aims to reduce the material footprint to seven tonnes per person by 2050. To reach this objective requires changes in consumption and production—but especially in the transport sector, since electric mobility depends heavily on critical raw materials.
GLOBAL 2000 invites representatives from politics, administration, business, labor unions and civil society together with AG Rohstoffe, the Vienna Chamber of Labor, the Austrian Transport Club and the Transport Planning & Engineering group at TU Vienna to discuss these issues.
The event begins with a welcome from MEP Günther Sidl followed by keynote talks, youth video statements, a panel discussion, and ends with a buffet. Prior to the event there is a press briefing.
